How To Change Screen Size On Fortnite

The start of Fortnite Chapter 2 has caused an old bug to return! In this guide we will show you how to change the screen size on Fortnite.

Fortnite is back, and Chapter 2 has officially begun! To start with, we have the return of an old bug that initially cropped up last year. If you have logged on to Fortnite and things look a little odd, the game might be outputting a usual screen size to your TV. In this guide, we will show you how to change the screen size on Fortnite.

How To Change Screen Size On Fortnite

This issue seems to be affecting consoles at the moment mainly, so I will cover fixes for PS4 and Xbox One below.

PS4

On PlayStation 4, go to the Game menu then change the below settings:

• Set “Uncap Framerate” to On
• Set “Invert View” to On
• Hit Triangle to Apply the changes

This should force an update of the screen resolution, and fix the issue for you. Remember to set the two settings back to their original values afterward.

Xbox One

To fix the screen size issues on Xbox One, follow the below steps:

• Go to System Settings in your console
• Select “Display and Sound”
• Select “Video Output”
• Select “Calibrate HDTV”
• Press Next cycle through screen sizes until the problem is fixed

Now, these fixes may not completely solve the problem but are certainly worth trying. If you have no luck, you may need to wait until Epic patch the issue.
