Level quickly, and then keep on leveling.
Tonight, Call of Duty fans will be able to check out the latest game in the series, Modern Warfare. It’s an excellent return to form for Infinity Ward, jam-packed with single-player, co-op, and multiplayer content for everyone to enjoy.
That said, some competitive multiplayer fans are already asking about the game’s level cap, as well as how they’ll be able to rank up quickly within it efficiently. Not to worry, as we’ve got the tips you need to move along rapidly and become one of the Call of Duty elite. Make sure to bring your skills, though.
What Is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Level Cap?
As with previous games in the Call of Duty series, Modern Warfare has a level cap of 55. However, when you reach that cap, you do have the option to Prestige.
Choose to do so after you reach the level, and you’ll see your weapon progress reset back to its original point. This action forces you to level it up once again to get back to level 55. However, this time around, you’ll have a Prestige emblem, so other players can see that you put in the effort.
There’s no word on how many times you can Prestige just yet, but we’ll give it a go as we work through the game and keep you informed.
How Do You Level Up In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare?
For those looking to boost up their level within the game, it’s all about earning experience points.
You can achieve XP by one of three ways. The first is getting kills on opponents, particularly in multiplayer. The second is by taking on objectives, making progress, and eventually completing them. And the third involves winning matches with your team. It may take a while for some players to “get good” at attaining victories. However, with the right squad — and skills you may have learned from the game’s previous betas — this shouldn’t be a problem.
It’ll take you a good while to get up to level 55 and Prestige through the game all over again, but the addictive multiplayer and available rewards should make it worthwhile.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare releases tomorrow for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
