The Codex is going to provide players with a lot of information if they have questions about The Outer Worlds
A lot is going on in The Outer Worlds. Obsidian Entertainment created an eerily familiar universe that feels like a Fallout title, except it’s in space, so there’s plenty more science fiction going on. Much like any larger RPG experience, though, the game is going to throw plenty of information at the players during the first few hours. It sprinkles in new details throughout the entire journey, but it’s hard to keep track of all this. In arrives, the helpful Codex.
The Outer Worlds Codex: Everything We Know
The Codex is a player’s end-all-be-all faucet of information. If you have any questions about the game, how a particular mechanic works, or want to learn more about the universe of The Outer Worlds, you can check that information out here. You can check the Codex out whenever you want to, too.
To access the Codex, you’re going to need to find it in your character’s profile page. To do so, hit the Tab key if you’re using a keyboard and mouse. If you’re on a PlayStation 4, you’re going to need to hit the touchpad to jump in, or if you have an Xbox One, you need to hold the menu button for a few seconds. When you’re there, go to the Journal tab of your in-game menu, taking you to the quest page. From there, right next to it, you’re going to see Codex.
When you’re there, you can look up anything you need to know. If you’re curious about the type of loot you’re going to gather up and how it works to sell it to merchants, you can view it there. For those wondering how the weapons and armor works in the game, you can ready some finer details over there. You can even learn more about the companions you’re traveling with and find out about their backstory.
Obsidian were extremely good to list out plenty of additional information for players who wanted to investigate their world. There’s a lot going on it, so it makes sense for the developers to go out of their way to share this information.
Take your time exploring the Codex, and don’t be shy spending a little extra time here to learn about The Outer Worlds. It’s a brand new game, and there’s a lot going on.
