Players have to go through several steps to evolve their respective Pokémon in Pokémon Go. In the hit mobile game, players have to capture the Pokémon over and over again to receive candy. There are other ways to receive Pokémon candy, such as transferring extra copies of that Pokémon to Professor Willow or by completing field research tasks. When you receive enough you can evolve that Pokémon into its next form, and some require an additional item. Some Pokémon like Galarian Farfetch’d require trainers to complete a quest to turn it into its evolved form, Sirfetch’d.
The quest to evolve Galarian Farfetch’d into Sirfetch’d is not a terrible obstacle. You must have 50 Farfetch’d candies and make 10 excellent throws. You do not have to do these in a row, and you do not have to capture the Pokémon for the excellent throw to count. Once you see the small notification that the throw you made was an excellent throw, it will count towards your total to evolve Galarian Farfetch’d.
To make an excellent throw, you have to wait until the secondary circle inside the primary one surrounding a Pokémon is extremely small. When it’s right at the center, throw you PokéBall and aim for the center, hopefully, hitting your PokéBall inside the second circle. It’s pretty hard to get every single time, so you can expect to make plenty of tries against a Pokémon before you nail it. Even if you land an excellent throw, you won’t always receive the Pokémon. Some more common Pokémon are easier to hit this throw than the more legendary options, so you probably shouldn’t try to do this against the five-star Pokémon you battle.
After you meet the quest requirement for Galarian Farfetch’d, it will become Sirfetch’d.
