Vex Offensive: Final Assault has arrived in Destiny 2. It’s is the final stage in our battle against the Vex, which means going after the Undying Mind. The Undying Mind exists in thousands of realities, so we need to enter the Black Garden and destroy every iteration of it we can find. This is a limited-time event and will be gone from the game when the Season of the Undying ends.

To start the Vex Offensive: Final Assault, head to the Tower, and speak with Ikora. She will explain that thousand’s of Undying Minds need to be killed and that she and Zavala have already begun the process. It is now up to you to carry on their efforts.

To start playing the event itself, follow the below steps:

  • Open your Director
  • Go to the Destinations Tab
  • Go to the Moon
  • Click on the Vex Offensive: Final Assault node in the bottom left of the screen.

The event plays out almost identically to the previous version of the Vex Offensive. Clear the waves of enemies, then take out the Gate Mechanics to get the energy weapons that will allow you to destroy the floating crystals, then move on to the next area.

After doing this twice, it will be time to fight the Undying Mind. Once again, this plays out very similarly to the original version. Take out enemies until the Gate Mechanics spawn, then use the lasers to take out the Undying Mind’s shield.

You will have a short amount of time to do damage, so save heavy ammo and Supers for when the shield is down. The Undying Mind also has three rotating shields that you cannot get rid of, so make sure to thread your shots through those shields.

Once you have burned through the boss’s health bar, the event is over, and you can head to the chest that spawns in to get your loot.
