To survive the harsh underwater world of Subnautica, you will need to find a lot of different resources for crafting, such as Magnetite. It is a raw material, which means you can find it in the wild and won’t need to craft it using other materials. Even better, you can find it in a ton of different places around the game if you know where to look:
Recommended Videos
- Mountains (northeast of Lifepod 5)
- Mountain Range Caves (near the Kelp Forest)
- Jellyshroom Caves (below the Kelp Forest and Safe Shallows)
- Lost River (you can find the entrance in Blood Kelp Zones, Deep Grand Reef, or between the Bulb and Mountains zone)
You will be able to spot it easily as a large resource deposit, a big stone with a ton of blue spikes jutting out of it.
It’s important to note that you won’t be able to harvest Magnetite with your hands; instead, you will need to use a Prawn Suit Drill Arm to harvest any of these deposits.
