Destiny 2 Umbral Incursion – Umbral Flames guide

Strike time.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Umbral Flames is a type of Umbral Incursion quest that you can get from the Exo Stranger after you finish the main Beyond Light campaign and the Aspect of Control quest.

To complete this quest, you will need to complete the following objectives in Strikes:

  • Solar damage final blows 0/100
  • Champions defeated with Stasis damage 0/10
  • Slowed combatants defeated 0/50

Solar damage final blows

This part is easy, as you can just use any solar weapon. I’m a huge fan of the absolutely madness caused by the Sunshot for these types of missions.

Champions defeated with Stasis damage

This one seems to be causing people the most trouble, as it doesn’t really track lots of different types of kills. The best way to do it is to use a finisher. The damage type will change based on your subclass, so make sure you have your Stasis subclass equipped, get their health low, then finish them off.

Slowed combatants defeated

For this one, you will need to use the Duskfield Grenade. Getting it is quite the process, but we have the steps you need to take written up to help you out. Now, while you can complete these in any Strike, for Champions you will need to get into the Strike playlists, or the Nightfalls.

It’s a good idea to try and run these with friends, as isolation and killing a Champion yourself in a Strike can be quite tough with all the damage flying around.
