Capcom has shared some new screens from the upcoming horror game Resident Evil Village with IGN, and they’ll send you running for the nearest typewriter to save your progress. This new info comes on the heels of yesterday’s leaks, which originated from a ransomware attack on Capcom and sent story spoilers and other info creeping about the Net.
The new, official images show the after-effects of the transformed villagers, who look to have come down with a serious case of lycanthropy. Early reports about the game suggested the appearance of werewolves; based on these screenshots and the trailer we saw during the PlayStation Future of Gaming event, you may want to start making some silver bullets now.
“We feel it’s an accumulation of all the best elements of Resident Evil games from the past 25 years,” Resident Evil Village producer Peter Fabiano said in an update on the progress of the game. “New technologies are allowing us to immerse players in the game in ways we couldn’t achieve before, in what we hope will be the most pulse-pounding Resident Evil game to date.”
