The Festering Sword is a 4-Star weapon in Genshin Impact. It is described as a creepy straight sword and can be used by any sword-wielding character in the game. You can get it as a reward from the “Chalk Prince and the Dragon” event.

The Festering Desire Sword will give you increase elemental skill damage, and elemental crit rate, so is a powerful option for sword users that rely a lot on cast their Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst abilities.

You will get the Festering Desire Sword automatically as you play through the story quest for Albedo. When you complete his story, you will get a quest called Festering Desire. Sucrose will ask you to learn Albedo’s secret. The Traveller is not particualry subtle about this, and just asks him what his secret is. Albedo will then give you the Festering Desire Sword.

Albedo will ask you to try out the sword, so head to the waypoint and fight the Slimes. After that, some Treasure Hoarders will attack you, and you will need to defeat them.

It turns out that Albedo aquired the sword from some seized Treasure Hunter goods, and has been experimenting with it to find out its origins ever since.
