The Bozjan Southern Front is a one-stop shop in Final Fantasy XIV. You can progress through the Resistance weapon questline, chase after Resistance ranks, challenge the 48-man Castrum Lacus Litore battle, and level up your jobs. While inside the instance, your item level is synced to 430, and you automatically gain access to your job’s full kit of level 80 abilities. The downside is that you can only enter the Bozjan Southern Front on a job that’s at least level 71. But once you’re in there, you’ll level up much faster than you might expect.
Farm Skirmishes and Critical Engagements
Play through the Bozjan Southern Front normally, tackling Skirmishes and Critical Engagements across the map. If you’re just starting and your Resistance rank is low, you can kill two birds with one stone, ranking up while leveling your current job. At higher ranks, you can quickly teleport around to any available battles on the map, moving freely from one Skirmish and Critical Engagement to the next.Â
Unlike with Mettle for Resistance ranks, you do not lose experience points when you die in the Bozjan Southern Front. So no need to worry about Final Fantasy XIV taking on the brutal old school mechanics from Final Fantasy XI, where players can fully de-level if they die at an awkward time.
When you complete a Skirmish or Critical Engagement, you’ll earn a big chunk of experience points. As long as you participate from start to finish and don’t spend the whole encounter on the floor, you should earn the maximum amount of EXP without issues. Expect to see experience points flow in by the millions as you successfully clear content. As long as you don’t get bored of the grind, this method of leveling is much faster than the usual Duty Roulettes. You may want to supplement your leveling with daily Duty Roulettes anyway, to mix things up. With enough dedication, it’s feasible to level multiple jobs from 71 to 80 after a few days of farming the Bozjan Southern Front.
