What is Festive Fever in Genshin Impact’s Lantern Rite Festival?

With the Lantern Rite Festival underway in Genshin Impact, players are trying to work out exactly what Festive Fever is. Festive Fever is a reward for complete Lanter Rite Tales during the Lantern Rite Festival.

These small side quests will reward Primogems, Mora, and Festive Fever when you complete them, building up your Festive Fever bar on the main event page.

The Festive Fever Bar is at the top of the page, marked by the red arrow, and the Lantern Rite Tales are marked by the red box. There are three stages of Festive Fever, and as you rank them up, new parts of the festival event will become available.

The different stages will unlock after players complete “The Origin of the Lanterns,” “Currents Deep Beneath the Lanterns,” and “Light Upon the Sea.” quests.

There are 9 Lantern Rite Tales in the first stage, which will earn enough Festive Fever to fill the progress bar half way. Players will need to wait until they have completed more of the “All That Glitters” story missions before they can access more Lantern Rite Tales.

One of the main reasons players will want to build up their Festival Fever is to reach the final stage when they can get a free 4 Star Liyue character. This is a rare chance to pick the exact character that you want to get from the game and will give players a chance to fill in any gaps in their party.
