Pokémon Go’s Valentine’s Day event for 2021 has arrived, and with it, the Valentine’s Day Collection Challenge. You’ll have to capture 11 unique Pokémon when the event starts on February 14 at 1 PM and ends on the 18 at 8 PM in your time zone. Two of the Pokémon you need to catch to finish the collection are Umbreon and Espeon. Two evolved forms of Eevee.
There are two ways you can catch these Pokémon. The first is by evolving an Eevee you have into them. They both require that you make Eevee your buddy, walk them for 10 kilometers, and then, for Umbreon, evolve Eevee when it’s night, and from Espeon, evolve Eevee during the day. Unfortunately, for the Valentine’s Day event, you’ll need to hatch an Eevee from five-kilometer eggs. You might be able to find one in the wild, but it’s not one of the boosted spawns for the celebration.
The other method is to find Umbreon and Espeon as three-star raids. Umbreon will have a recommended CP of 1,221 and 1,526 while weather boosted, and Espeon will have a recommended CP of 1,811 and 2,264 while weather boosted.
These are the best Pokémon to take down Espeon. You want to use a Bug, Dark, or Ghost-type Pokémon.
- Mega Gengar (Hex, and shadow ball)
- Weavile (Snarl, and foul play)
- Tyranitar (Bite, and crunch)
- Mewtwo (Psycho cut, and shadow ball)
- Chandelure (Hex, and shadow ball)
- Houndoom (Snarl, and foul play)
These are the best Pokémon to take down Umbreon. You want to use a Bug, Fairy, or Fighting-type Pokéon.
- Machamp (Counter, and dynamic punch)
- Heracross (Counter, and megahorn)
- Mega Beedrill (Bug bite, and x-scissor)
- Sirfetch’d (Counter, and close combat)
- Togekiss (Charm, and dazzling gleam)
- Gardevoir (Charm, and dazzling gleam)
Once you have both of these Pokémon, you’ll have completed this portion of the Valentine’s Collection Challenge in Pokémon. You still have nine more to catch, with Alomomola being one of them, also featured in raids.
