How to get Irregular Tomestones of Esoterics for the Moogle Treasure Trove event in Final Fantasy XIV

The event won't be around forever.

It’s that time of year again in Final Fantasy XIV for the Moogle Treasure Trove event. In this event, you’ll be able to acquire Irregular Tomestones of Esoterics to turn in for exclusive items that are only available for a limited time. The Moogle Treasure Trove festival will be happening from March 15 until the arrival of patch 5.5, so you have plenty of time to farm the Irregular Tomestones of Esoterics. We recommend if you’re looking for any on the available vendor that you pick out any other than the riding maps, which don’t offer the same value as some of the other items you can acquire. Before you can start looking at the vendors, you’ll want to start farming the event’s currency. It can take you a bit of time, but it’s pretty straightforward.

Detailed on the main event page, you want to look for dungeons and frontline duties that have a small Moogle icon next to them in your duty finder page. You can pull up the duty finder by clicking the ‘U’ button on your keyboard.

The duties you complete in your duty finder reward you with the Irregular Tomestones of Esoterics. You can choose to complete the dungeon or PvP Frontline duties to earn these items.

Not every duty or PvP event you complete earns the same amount of Irregular Tomestones of Esoterics. The harder and more difficult duties provide more rewards, but so long as you operate with a solid group, you should be able to run through the content at a leisurely pace to receive all of the items you want from the vendors.

Here’s a list of all the dungeons and PvP activities you can complete, and the amount of Irregular Tomestones you’ll receive for each one.
