How to change gear appearance and use Transmog in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Improve your look or try something new.

Not every weapon is going to look the same in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and you might like some items over another. Unfortunately, like every game, the best weapons have the highest stats, and while the stats may not matter too much in Valhalla, there are certain passives and skills you want to use in the game that benefit your playstyle. If you don’t like the weapon, Ubisoft have created a new weapon appearance changing feature in the game so you can give your favorite weapons an improved look. This feature is also called Transmog. These new weapons can fit your outfit, or you might find that the final appearance of an item better suits how you want see Eivor in cutscenes. To go about using the Transmog feature, you need to return to Ravensthorpe and speak with Gunnar.

When you speak with Gunnar, ask him to take a look at his services as you normally would. Now, at the top of the menu, you click the bumper options to swap between enhancing your weapons, downgrading them, or changing their appearance. You will be to do this with your weapons or armor.

You’ll see a list of available weapons and gear you can modify. When you click on the weapon or gear you’re using, you’ll see all of the other weapons and gear you’ve collected throughout your travels in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. If you’ve improved a particular item and upgrade it its mastery, you’ll be able to apply that mastered gear piece to whatever item you want, even if the item is at the lowest tier available.

You can do this as many times as you want, so long as you speak with Gunnar. Each time you do this, it will cost 50 silver.
