How to complete the Spring into Spring Collection Challenge in Pokémon Go

The arrival of spring in the northern hemisphere has flowers blooming all over, and Pokémon Go is celebrating the changing seasons with the Spring into Spring event. There will be event-exclusive Pokémon such as Pikachu, Happiny, Chansey, and Blissey, who are wearing flower crowns that you can capture. There’s a chance it could be a shiny version. Bunnelby will also be receiving its shiny version during this event. The big highlight of the Spring into Spring event is the Collection Challenge, a concept that took a bit of a break following Pokémon Go’s transition from the Season of Celebration to the Season of Legends. The challenge requires trainers to capture specific Pokémon listed out in the list, and they must be captured during the event time, not be in the trainer’s collection already.

The Spring into Spring Collection Challenge starts on April 4 and continues until April 8.

All Pokémon in the Spring into Spring Collection Challenge

These are all of the Pokémon listed in the Spring into Spring Collection Challenge. Make sure to catch them before the timer runs out to receive a lucky egg, XP, and Mega Lopunny energy, the new Mega Pokémon releasing alongside the event.

• Catch a Shadow Exeggcute
• Catch a Buneary
• Catch a Bunnelby
• Catch a Plusle
• Catch a Minun
• Catch a Flower Crown Pikachu
• Evolve a Bunnelby into Diggersby
• Catch an Azumarill
• Catch a Flower Crown Chansey

Many of these Pokémon will be found in the wild, specifically, Exeggcute, Buneary, Bunnelby, Plusle, Minun, Flower Crown Pikachu, and Flower Crown Chansey.

The big ones will be shadow Exeggcute and Azumarill. The shadow Exeggcute can only be found on Team Rocket grunts. You can battle them at any of the PokéStops they’ve captured. Make sure you do not have a Rocket Radar or a Super Rocket Radar in your inventory, or you might encounter one of the three Team Rocket Leaders or Giovanni.

As for Azumarill, you can only find them by completing a specific Field Research assignment. You receive these by spinning any of the Pokéstop Discs that you can find in your neighborhood. There will be several general field research quests, but there are also specific ones for the Spring into Spring event. The specific one that gives you Azumarill as reward is the ‘Catch 15 Exeggcute’ field research task. When you have this task, complete it, and Azumarill will spawn.

All players have until April 8 at 8 PM in their local time zone to finish the Spring into Spring Collection Challenge.
