Here are everything players need to do to get ready for Ghost Recon Breakpoint Open beta later this month.
With Ghost Recon: Breakpoint ready to drop early next month, a few players were wondering why Ubisoft hasn’t done any beta for the game yet. Not to worry, though – the company is finally hosting one, set to take place from September 26 through 29. The beta will be open for all players, with several days of multiplayer action to come.
Let’s break down the details as to what players can expect from this taste of multiplayer goodness:
Ghost Recon: Breakpoint Beta – Start And End Time
First off, the beta will be available for everyone, across the board, on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Pre-load will open up on September 24, starting at 3 AM PDT. The game will be available through the respective stores on Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Store and Uplay, Ubisoft’s PC game service.
There’s also going to be a pre-load option through the Epic Games Store, but it doesn’t start until 8 AM PDT on the 24th.
As for how long the beta will last, it’ll kick off on September 26 at 3 AM PDT and run through September 29 at 7 AM PDT. That’s just over three days to give it a test drive.
Keep in mind those are U.S. times. In the UK, it runs from the 26th at 11 AM BST through September 29th at 3 PM BST.
What All Can Players Access In the Beta?
There will be several options available, which should give players a taste of what’s to come with the full game. This includes the Ghost War PvP mode, which will feature four different maps in Elimination mode. Players will also have access to six of the open-world regions in the campaign, as well as five different missions from the main storyline. For those that want to explore further, three side missions will also be available to tackle.
Throughout the beta, 12 new Faction Missions will be introduced each day, along with three different types of enemy drones that players can take on. Be sure to bring your friends if you can – that’s what Ghost Recon is all about.
Can Progress Carry Over?
For those wondering if the work put into the Ghost Recon: Breakpoint beta will carry over into the final game, we’ve got some bad news. It won’t.
That said, however, Ubisoft will likely offer a fun little bonus for those try out the beta and pick up the full game, as they’ve offered in the past with Ghost Recon: Wildlands. What that is, we’re not sure, but more details should be on hand close to the start of the beta.
That’s really about it, although those of you still looking for new material may like the new trailer. It features recording artist Lil’ Wayne attempting to “squad up” for a fight. Indulge in that video below!
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint releases on October 4. However, those that order either the Gold or Ultimate Edition can play earlier, starting on October 1.
