How long will New World be under maintenance?

The team is hard at work working through technical difficulties.

New World is an MMO, so players can expect to be waiting for a while when the servers are down for maintenance before everything is in the clear. You can expect this to happen right after the Amazon Games development team pushes and works on a new update. The maintenance time for these events usually remains the same, so how long can you expect to wait before everything is ready to go back online?

This is one of those rare moments for New World where the game is under maintenance outside of its traditional hours. The maintenance for the entire game is happening because the team is busy turning on all of the gold transfers and exchanges they have. Previously, these were turned off because players discovered a gold exploit. The Amazon Games team had discovered the exploit, turned off any matter of gold trading from the trading posts, and have been busy working on a solution.

The expected return time for the New World servers will be about three hours, but this could increase.

We recommend you quit the game and check back on things when everything has come back up. The New World team is making sure everything checks out okay before the servers return.
