How to evolve Mantyke into Mantine in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Mantyke is one of the many Pokémon you can find in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. As you’re exploring the Hisui region, you’ll want to catch this Pokémon and add it to your collection to study it further, expanding your Pokédex and increasing your Star Rank. A good way to study Mantyke is to evolve it into a Mantine, but there’s a special way you can do this. In this guide, we cover how to evolve Mantyke into Mantine in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

The way you evolve Mantyke is unique compared to other Pokémon. First, you’ll need to catch a Remoraid, a Pokémon you can typically find in the Cobalt Coastlands. You’ll find it swimming in the water around Castaway Shore, Sand’s Reach, and then Tranquility Cove.

We recommend waiting until you unlock the Basculegion mount to make exploring these locations possible, which you can do as you progress through the Pokémon Legends story. We don’t recommend catching a Remoraid from the shore as many of them are not that close. The Basculegion mount makes it far more efficient and possible to catch both of these Pokémon in the water.

So long as the two Pokémon are in the same party, they’re good to go. You can freely evolve Mantyke, and it becomes a Mantine.
