How to increase friendship with a Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Take care of your Pokémon.

You and your Pokémon will go through multiple adventures together as you explore the Hisui region in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. However, a handful of these Pokémon will need you to increase their friendship enough if you want them to evolve to their next form, and to do this, there are a few ways you can go about it. In this guide, we will cover how to increase friendship with a Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

A Pokémon’s friendship with you as its trainer is a hidden stat. You will not directly be able to tell how much friendship you have while you’re out in the world, but if you return to Jubilife Village, you can have the Friendship Checker provide you with this information. The Friendship Checker is named Belamy, and you can unlock them after you’ve completed the Measuring Your Capability. It becomes available after defeating the Noble Pokémon, Kleavor.

These are all ways your Pokémon’s friendship with you will increase as you play the game.

  • Battle against wild Pokémon (without fainting)
  • Collecting resources for you
  • Having it in your party
  • Feeding it Rare Candy
  • Feeding it EXP Candy

These are the best ways to do it. Battling other Pokémon and having it in your party is the quickest way to have it go by faster. We recommend making sure the Pokémon does not faint in combat, as this has lowered the friendship with the Pokémon in other games.

You can regularly return to Belamy in Jubilife Village to check your progress.
