The game will be launching at the same time everywhere in the world, but it will hit different parts on February 19, depending on where you live. For example, New Zealanders will start their Forbidden West journey at 6 pm while those who live in Vancouver and Los Angeles play the game the night before, on February 17 at 9 pm.

The launch times are as follows and ordered by time:

  • Western North America: 9 pm Feb 17.
  • Eastern North America: 12 AM
  • South America: 2 AM
  • Western Europe: 5 AM
  • Central Europe: 6 AM
  • Russia: 8 AM
  • India, Sri Lanka: 10.30 AM
  • Japan: 2 PM
  • Australia: 4 PM
  • New Zealand: 6 PM

If you’re hoping to preload Horizon Forbidden West, you’ll need to clear out quite a bit of space on your PS5’s SSD hard drive. According to the PlayStation Game Size Twitter account, it will take around 88GB of your storage when attempting to download it in North America. Europeans have it at 98GB. This is likely due to the multiple languages in the game. Japan has it slightly easier than everyone else at a near 84GB.

However, if you’re using a PS4, Horizon Forbidden West will surely take slightly less storage than its PS5 counterpart. You can preload either version right now, as the feature was enabled on February 11. Remember that there may be a day one patch to consider with both versions.

Are you excited about Horizon Forbidden West? You may want to preorder as you’ll get the Nora Legacy outfit and spear. The Digital Deluxe Edition, while more expensive, will also grant you special outfits and digital soundtrack, among other rewards.
