FIFA 18 on Switch has sold higher than on PS4 in Japan which clearly indicates third-party titles have a good scope if ported well.
Nintendo Switch is back in limelight, the console has been breaking sales record previously and now it looks gamers are parting their way for games which a year ago was never imagined to be a part of the portable console. We are talking about FIFA 18. The game has been ported to Switch and its sales have outsold PS4 copies in Japan. As per the source, the PS4 version of FIFA 18 was sold around 77,892 copies since launch and the same on Switch has sold around 89,329 copies.
Nintendo Switch is doing really well for its exclusives IP’s and for the ported versions. It looks gamers are finding the console a highly entertaining platform compared to console and PC. It is quite interesting to know that a game like FIFA 18 is doing so well on Nintendo Switch in Japan.
The update is published by Dengeki Online that says the sales figure of the game on both the consoles until January 7 of this year. The switch is leading against PS4 for FIFA 18 and this indicates third-party titles are having a wide scope on this hybrid console. But remember Switch version is different compared to what we see on the console, certain features are removed on the basis of its compatibility.
No doubt Switch is a big hit worldwide, gamers have liked the system. Due to its hybrid quality, it allows players to enjoy on-the-go gaming on a portable screen and when they are relaxing they can just dock it to widescreen and play through independent controllers. Switch has proved to be a successful model between a full-size console and a portable gaming device.
