In a recent investor report, Activision hinted that Spyro Trilogy Remastered is on the card. The publisher didn’t directly hinted at Spyro Remastered and used the term more “Release of Remastered Versions”.
After rumors about an upcoming Spyro trilogy remaster, Activision has hinted at more remasters coming along the way, and even this year, from its popular older IPs portfolio. The move comes after the much successful Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy launch on PS4, which should be followed soon by ports at least on Nintendo Switch and PC.
In a passage of its annual investor report, the publisher briefly mentioned that its intention is to offer more “releases of remastered versions of titles from our library of IP.” While it’s not mentioning anything specific, it clearly looks like it’s a reference to the much-hyped Spyro rumor.
You might remember that, according to multiple Kotaku UK sources, a Spyro trilogy remastered is said to be in development at Vicarious Visions, the same developer of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. Additionally, Insomniac Games has clarified that making a Spyro Trilogy Remastered is in the hands of Activision, and it won’t be possible for them to develop it.

Based on those sources, the announcement should come as early as this march, with a release in time for September, in the likes of the Crash trilogy. It would feature the first three chapter in the long-running series and would serve as a celebration of the 20th anniversary at least for one year exclusive to PS4.
