Xbox One version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will soon receive Patch 9. The update recently went into the testing phase, the public release date is yet to be decided.
Microsoft has announced that Patch #9 is “now formally in test” for the Xbox One version of PUBG. We still don’t have any release date for the update, but we should learn more about it quite soon, according to a post from the Xbox team on Reddit.
“Just wanted to let you all know that Patch 9 is now formally in the test,” a member of the team said. “We are feeling pretty good about the quality of the patch and the incoming improvements to the player experience.”
We are very motivated to get this into hands as soon as possible, however, we also want to ensure that no glaring issues made their way into the code,” and this is why it’s taking a bit longer than anticipated. Microsoft didn’t provide any specific about the content of this patch, however.
For what matters the date of launch, the platform holder explained that “you’ll hear back from me by the end of the week on release timing (…) Thanks for being patient with us.”
The latest patch reverted some of the core mechanics for vehicles after they had been changed in the previous update, based on the feedback from the community, among few other secondary things. We’ll see if this time something more substantial comes to the console version.
