Rocksteady has updated their official website with a new job listing for Multiplayer Testers. Is this a major hint towards the fact that the next Batman Arkham game will include multiplayer portion also?
There’s been a lot of speculation about what’s next for Rocksteady, the studio behind the much appreciated Batman Arkham franchise. Since the end of the trilogy, the developer has been rather silent regarding what they’re doing, though, which has indeed contributed to make the speculation even bigger.
Anyway, there might be some hint at what they’re doing, based on a recent job listing coming from the British software house. Apparently, in fact, Rocksteady is looking into multiplayer testers for their latest title.
The job listing is for a Senior QA Tester, for an “upcoming AAA game,” and this employee needs to have these technical requirements:
- Experience of testing on a range of platforms: Consoles / PC / Mobile.
- Multiplayer (Network / LAN / Local) testing experience.
- Excellent MS Office Skills.
- Understanding the roles of other areas of the industry.
- Experience working on AAA title.
Of course, this doesn’t mean that the next game from the makers of Batman Arkham will be a multiplayer online only, but of course, it’s a serious hint at the inclusion, for the first time ever since the studio was born, of a multiplayer/persistent component.
We’ll let you know as soon as more details pop up, but in the meantime, you can let us know how you feel about this news in the comments below.
