A retailer in Canada broke God of War (PS4) street date i.e. selling legit retail copies of God of War PS4 a full 2 weeks ahead of official release. Watch out for the God of War spoilers on the internet.
And here we go: as it often happens with first-party releases from Microsoft and Sony, God of War PS4 street date has apparently been broken, with the first few pics of the hard copies already out in the wild.
Reddit user kemar7856 has posted couple photos from the front and from the back of the hard copy he has purchased even yesterday, most probably in Canada as the copy has both English and French texts.
That’s something, to be honest, as the game is releasing not in a matter of few days but even on April 20, which is almost two weeks from now.
The main danger now is these guys who already own a copy of the title get to the social networks and forums, and spoil the entire Story or even the most brilliant tidbits of it to the guys still waiting to start playing the latest PS4 exclusive.
While that’s rather disappointing, as said this is something happening quite regularly with first-party releases, since the major publishers ship copies of their games to trusted (at least apparently) retailer partners well ahead of the street dates.
God of War reviews’ embargo lifts off on Monday 12, so it won’t take that much to learn at least how good the latest Santa Monica Studio effort is (or isn’t).
