Square Enix has just released a new Kingdom Hearts III trailer, out of surprise, detailing the new mini-games we’ll be playing during the course of the adventure with Sera, Goofy, and Donald Duck among the others.
These mini-games are apparently inspired by 80s’ LCD games, in the style of Nintendo’s Game & Watch lineup, and will feature the likes of The Barnyard Battle, The Karnival Kid, Giantland and Musical Farmer.
At this point, we don’t know when these mini-games will be triggered during the adventure in the upcoming and much anticipated action-role playing game by Tetsuya Nomura.
It remains to be seen whether we’ll be able to activate them any time we want (maybe after a specific event in the story), or if they’ll be linked to some determined locations in the game in the style of Yakuza.
Kingdom Hearts III is still lacking a precise release date, although we’ve already been informed about the launch in 2018. Most probably, we’ll learn more about that at E3 2018 and it’ll be ready by the end of the year, around November.
