Final Fantasy VII Remake will see another great comeback from a historic component of the development team of the original game, and one of those who’ve changed the history of the entire video games business.
As revealed by Yoshinori Kitase, in a transcription coming from reliable Japanese-all news website Siliconera, Nobuo Uematsu is making a much-appreciated return to the series with the next remake project.
“I’ve worked on numerous titles with Uematsu-san, and while I’m currently working on the production of Final Fantasy VII Remake, it’s actually been since Final Fantasy X that I directly worked with Uematsu-san,” Kitase said.
“So when I first went to ask Uematsu-san to come work on the music for the remake, I thought he would give me the cold shoulder since he had already left Square Enix and found success.”
At this moment, we don’t have any solid information about when the game is releasing. We do know that the development process has had a huge delay due to the work shifting completely to the internal team at a certain point when it was learned that CyberConnect 2’s job wasn’t being done properly or at least at the standards Square Enix wanted to be respected.
According to the recent rumor, a demo of the game could ship together with Kingdom Hearts III, the next entry in the series held by Tetsuya Nomura which is slated for a 2018 release.
