Only yesterday we reported about a final easter egg that God of War players had not been able to discover yet, and now here we are providing all the details about the last secret that users have found in the game – thanks to the clue coming from the Santa Monica Studio team.
During a panel at San Diego Comic, indeed, creative director Cory Barlog had revealed that there was a final easter egg players hadn’t found out yet, and that it was located in the house of Kratos and Atreus.
Taking advantage of this clue (and of The Hunt prequel comic), users have managed to find out what the final easter egg is all about, and of course it contains spoilers about the ending of the title – so watch out if you haven’t completed it yet.
So, what the final easter egg is all about anyway?
The easter egg is represented by runes carved into the four corners of Kratos’ home; putting them in the right order you obtain the name “Loki,” which is the real name of Atreus as revealed in one of the final segments of the story.
On top of that, gamers also found out that “the image that was being woven by Atreus’ mom Faye before she died was in fact the symbol for Loki, two snakes biting each others’ tails,” as reported by Kotaku.
Many users are not convinced this is the final God of War easter egg, even though senior concept artist Joe Kennedy – the one that revealed The Hunt comic at San Diego Comic-Con – offered his congratulations to them on Twitter.
Are you convinced though?
