How to open chests in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes
Opening chests is rather simple but it can take a bit of time. You are first introduced to chests during the Prologue of the game. These containers must be opened with a key. Unfortunately, a key isn’t always readily available and you might need to search for it. When you come across an enemy with a key, they will have a key symbol over their head. Defeat this enemy and they will drop the key for you to pick up. Run back to the chest with the key in hand to open it up.

Sometimes, you will be fighting in an area where the enemies don’t have any keys. When this happens, you should have a thief in your party to rely on. Thieves have the ability to pick locks. This way you don’t need to bother going out to find a key, you can simply walk up to the chest and press the Y button to get it open. Be careful when trying to get a chest open. Some enemies, like thieves, can open locked chests and steal the contents of the box. If this happens, you will need to track the enemy down and defeat them before they escape to retrieve the item that was in the chest.
