As we get closer and closer to the release of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout beta, which is coming September 10 on PlayStation 4, we constantly get more details about the battle royale mode debuting soon.

Today, we have the opportunity to give the very first look at the map of the Blackout mode, that’s quite obviously the biggest map ever built for the Call of Duty franchise – one which has never been popular for the size of its maps.

As you can see in the tweet below, the map, not coming with a specific name of its own, is a kind of mix between PUBG’s Erangel and Miramar, with forests, urban landscapes and hills separated by a snake-shaped river from a desert environment.

The biggest and most relevant spots on the map have names exactly like in PUBG and Fortnite, and interestingly these have names quite familiar for the Call of Duty series fans (you might remember that “Nuketown Island”…).

We’ve already reported that the Blackout battle royale mode for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will support 80 players at least at the beginning of the beta, as Treyarch still believes there’s a possibility to get higher post launch.

The game itself is releasing on October 12, 2018.
