Netflix has offered a comment about the closure of Telltale Games and the future of the projects it had in the making together with the American developer.
Projects that include Minecraft: Story Mode for the streaming platform, which is still in the making and will probably be the last from the dev team, and the Strange Things video games episodic series.
“We are saddened by news about Telltale Games. They developed many great games in the past and left an indelible mark in the industry. Minecraft: Story Mode is still moving forward as planned,” a Netflix spokesperson told Polygon.
Then, he added that the company plans to go on with the Stranger Things video games, not matter which is the destiny of Telltale Games. That’s something they will do with other partners once they find one good enough for their standards.
“We are in the process of evaluating other options for bringing the Stranger Things universe to life in an interactive medium,” Netflix added, hinting at more news coming in the future about that.
