In this game, you’ll constantly discover new weapons and items that will help you get through swarms of Minecraft-related enemies. It’ll offer solo play or co-op multiplayer for up to four people.
A brand-new game based in the Minecraft world has just been revealed at Minecon Earth 2018. Minecraft: Dungeons will be created by Mojang, a smaller and dedicated team that’s inspired by a love of classic dungeon crawler games. In this game, you’ll constantly discover new weapons and items that will help you get through swarms of Minecraft-related enemies. It’ll offer solo play or co-op multiplayer for up to four people.
A small teaser trailer was shown off during Minecon, giving players a short glimpse into what Mojang has to offer in terms of the various levels, enemies, and roles. The game has only been announced for PC at this time, though, and it’s set to come out in 2019. Mojang has also opened up a website for anyone interested in learning more about the project.
Minecraft: Dungeon wasn’t the only Minecraft thing shown off at Minecon, however. The new major update for Minecraft was also briefly on display. The update, titled the Pillage update, will add a new group of unfriendly NPCs, dangerous beasts, and new Villager NPCs that players can meet at spawned villages throughout their world.
In addition, Mojang will introduce Pandas and Cats in the latest update, which will be released “very soon.”
