The release date for the PC version of Monster Hunter: World was released in a Twitter video by producer Ryozo Tsujimoto today, and it looks like it’s going to be a bit of a wait.
With the the launch of the console version just a few weeks away on Jan. 26, PC players will have to wait a number of months to get their hands on the game, as Tsujimoto explained that the game is being optimized for the PC and planned for a release in “Autumn 2018.”
Tsujimoto also confirmed that the game would be getting free updates after the console launch, including new monsters.
The Monster Hunter series has been a hugely popular game on handhelds like the Nintendo 3DS in the past, and this entry will be the series’ first on the PC.
Sadly, the wait to enjoy it will be just a bit longer as players can look forward to a tentative release some time between September and November of this year.
