It’s been a long time coming, but it seems like 2018 is the year where we finally might hear more about CD Projekt Red’s highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077.

It’s not much. In fact, it’s just one word. But it’s something. And that something is the first tweet that the game’s official Twitter account has posted in over four years.

The tweet was hit with over 4,000 retweets in just two hours as fans of both CD Projekt Red and the potential of Cyberpunk were immediately hit with a wave of hype.

Cyberpunk 2077 was originally announced in 2012, but was seemingly put on the backburner for a few years while the developer finished up and released The Witcher III: Wild Hunt and its subsequent expansion.

This May, however, will mark three years since Witcher released, and it seems like this year is as good a time as any to see more of Cyberpunk for the first time since its teaser trailer was released all the way back in January of 2013.

Today, in fact, marks the five year anniversary of the release of the trailer, so the tweet is probably no coincidence at all. The hype is real.
