Red Faction: Guerrilla potentially outed by European GameStop listings

It looks like the Xbox One could be getting another re-release from the Xbox 360’s library—if a new European GameStop listing is any indication.

It looks like the Xbox One could be getting another re-release from the Xbox 360’s library—if a new European GameStop listing is any indication.

One eagle-eyed Redditor discovered several listings via European GameStop stores in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland for Red Faction: Guerrilla on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

It’s been nearly a decade since Red Faction: Guerrilla debuted on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 back in June 2009, so it’s been quite a while since anyone has probably thought about the game, unless they nabbed it on PC via Steam at some point since its September release that same year. THQ Nordic has been on something of a roll lately with re-releasing its older titles, so this is absolutely something believable.

Red Faction: Guerrilla takes place 50 years after the original Red Faction game, and it sets up players to jump into the role of a new insurgent with Red Faction as they battle the Earth Defense Force. It was notable for its copious usage of destructible environments and how much fun you could have smashing through the walls that tried to contain you (or protect your enemies.)

There hasn’t been an official announcement just yet, but if this leak is anything like the rest that have come from THQ Nordic game listings, we can probably rest assured this release will eventually come to fruition, too.

And who doesn’t wanna smash some things up these days?
