A new datamine on Pokémon Go may have revealed some interesting details for fans hoping to add more legendary Pokémon to their collection.
Files for Castform and Deoxys forms have apparently been revealed in the latest round of Pokémon Go updates datamined by fan community “The Silph Road” on Reddit.
The community is notorious for finding out features and Pokémon coming to the game in the future. This community were also behind the generation three datamine back in October 2017.
This isn’t the first time that Deoxys and Castform were found in a datamine, however. In October 2017, Deoxy and Castform files were found in an Android Packing Kit that hinted to the Pokémon’s eventual inclusion into the game.
As well as Deoxys and Castform’s files, the datamine also revealed a brand new shiny filter option. The filter option will allow players to search for shiny Pokémon in their collection without having to find them manually.
A news system was also found as part of the datamine, allowing players to see updates and news from Niantic directly as well as keeping track of news from previous days and years in Pokémon Go’s history.
The datamine should be taken with a pinch of salt, however. Niantic has remained tight lipped on what Pokémon will be added to the game next, and only reveal the Pokémon as they are added to the game.
