Niantic is hosting a small Lunar Revel-themed event in Pokémon Go from now until Feb. 17.
If a player catches a dog-like Pokémon such as Poochyena, Growlithe, Snubbull, Eevee, or Electrike, the player will receive bonus Stardust.
These Pokémon are also more likely to appear in the wild, giving trainers a chance to complete their Pokédex.
The event coincides with the Taiwan exclusive Safari Event, which increased the chances of finding an Unown, Dragonair, Dratini, Mr. Mine, and Growlithe in the country. While this event doesn’t offer nearly as many rare Pokémon, it still offers trainers across the world a chance to get some bonus Stardust for the next few days.
Today also signalled the end of the Valentines Day event in Pokémon Go. Trainers who were unable to catpure a shiny Luvdisc will now need to wait until next year to get another chance.
