The Witcher’s Geralt is a pretty memorable and distinct character. He’s a protagonist who nearly everyone can pick out of a lineup of lead characters, and after having starred in three games, maybe it’s time for him to make an appearance in a different title outside of the Witcher series. And that could be happening very soon, according to community lead Marcin Momot at CD Projekt Red.

And that could be happening very soon, according to community lead Marcin Momot at CD Projekt Red.
A tweet from Momot today is teasing Geralt making an appearance in an upcoming game this year, but there are no further details beyond that. As such, fans are running wild with speculation over which game Geralt could be making a cameo in. The most popular vote goes to Soulcalibur VI, which has been no stranger to odd character cameos in the pasts, like Zelda’s Link, Tekken’s Heihachi, Darth Vader, and even Spawn. Geralt would feel right at home in the Soulcalibur universe as such, but there’s no concrete evidence to prove if that’s the case.
There are a number of games still yet to release this year, like Far Cry 5 (wouldn’t that be bizarre to see Geralt in?), Red Dead Redemption 2, and Vampyr to name a few. There’s no evidence to suggest that Geralt would appear in any of these games, and a fighting game seems most likely, but anything could happen at this juncture.
