Ready to dig into the next Pokémon Go event? It appears that a familiar event from last year is returning as early as tomorrow, March 22.
It’s the Easter-based Eggstravaganza, which a Pokémon Go dataminer has found after digging around in the app a bit. The dataminer sifted through a news post hidden in the depths of network traffic between end-user accounts and the Pokémon Go servers.
Supposedly, the event will start up tomorrow, and there will be 2 kilometer eggs in the game with different Pokémon in them that are normally found in both 5 km and 10 km eggs. There doesn’t seem to be much information about which of these Pokémon are going to be in the eggs, but according to the announcement the dataminer found we can at least expect Ralts and Wynaut.
It looks like there will also be special item bundles found in the in-game store for the event, with Star Pieces and Super Incubators available for purchase. They’ll help out with earning additional Stardust and shorten the distance required to hatch the eggs earned during the event.
This isn’t the first Eggstravaganza event Pokémon Go has hosted, and it probably won’t be the last, either. Last year it made a big splash with its various egg offerings, and a Double XP bonus to boot. While Niantic hasn’t announced the event just yet, it’s pretty safe to assume at this point that it’s going to be gearing up shortly. Hopefully you’re not snowed in like part of the United States today.
