The long road to redemption for Destiny 2 continues today with some new information about playtesting.
It appears that Bungie’s next step in bringing players back to its looter shooter sequel is to enlist the help of some people who have the most to gain from the game being great again—content creators and live streamers.
Gigz, a popular Destiny streamer known for insane PvP skills, announced on Twitter that he will soon be making his way to Bungie HQ to help shape the future of the game.
“Just got an invite from Bungie to go to their studio, play test future content, and give feedback over a 2 day span,” said Gigz. “I’m not sure who else was invited, but this is something that I’m happy Bungie is finally doing. Count me in.”
In the replies, other Destiny content creators such as Gothalion, TheTrueVanguard, Holtzmann, and more all confirmed that they will also be visiting Bungie for playtesting.
It’s doubtful that the content they will be playing is the second expansion, which is due to come out sometime in May. It’s more likely that the “future content” mentioned by Gigz is probably the large-scale expansion previously announced by Activision, which will come sometime in the fall.
