Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus lands on Switch this summer

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus was an excellent entry in the first-person shooter series when it landed on consoles and PC last year. But the only thing better than going on a crusade against the Nazis (who have taken over America for their own, natch) is taking that crusade with you wherever you go.

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus was an excellent entry in the first-person shooter series when it landed on consoles and PC last year. That’s why it’s such great news that the bloody battles of B.J. Blazkowicz are coming to Switch and finally dated. We’ll get to join the fight for freedom this June as the Switch port releases to several shooter-hungry fans.

Bethesda just made the announcement official, along with a new gameplay trailer that shows off the game looking quite buttery-smooth on the Switch. As “B.J. “Terror-Billy” Blazkowicz, you’ll join up with ferocious freedom fighters to take on the dastardly Frau Engel and the Nazis who stand behind her.

It’s another American Revolution, essentially, as you’ve got to free America from the Nazis who’ve taken over just about every facet of American life, going so far as to force English-speakers to learn German. But now you don’t have to keep the fight at home and can play a little more while out chilling at a friend’s or on the train to work. Anywhere is appropriate for Nazi slayage, to be honest.

While you can use traditional controls on the Switch to liberate the American people from the Nazis’ rule, you can also opt for special motion controls as well if you so choose, unique to the Switch version. Sound like something you want to pick up? You can look forward to nabbing Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus on Friday, June 29.
