The Shadow of the Tomb Raider “End of the Beginning” trailer follows an acrobatic Lara as she pulls her way up the side of a cliff, runs against the edge of the cliff, and makes a startling leap across to reach her destination. It’s all about her gets of derring-do as she races against time and enemies to save the world from an impending Mayan apocalypse. It looks like it could be one of Lara’s coolest adventures yet by far, and the trailer only drives this home with a vengeance.Â
If you decide you want to embark on Lara’s journey , you can grab the game in several different versions aside from the standard releases: the Ultimate Edition, Croft Edition, or Steelbook Edition. No matter which one you choose, you’ll get the game 48 hours early, and if you preorder the base game or Croft Edition as a digital version, you get a skills booster pack for your trouble.Â
The Steelbook Edition comes packing a steenbok case, three art cards, a season pass, three weapons, three outfits, and a soundtrack. The Croft Edition is the same, without the steelbook. The Digital Deluxe Edition nets you the base game, one additional weapon and outfit, and game soundtrack. If you want to go big, get the Ultimate Edition, which comes with the Croft Edition and a flashlight, statue, and bottle opener.Â
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is releasing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on September 14.Â
