Tencent, Apple, and Google are just lead lead the global market among publicly listed, mobile gaming companies, a new report from Newzoo reveals.

After analyzing annual and quarterly financial reports across the gaming industry during 2017, Newzoo listed last year’s top 25 companies based on gaming revenue. While Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo are all in the top 10, the full report shows a substantial increase in revenue for numerous publishers engaging with mobile and freemium markets.

Chinese gaming publisher Tencent, for example, led the list with $18,120 million in revenue. Meanwhile, Apple ranked third at an estimated $8,037 million revenue, whereas Google ranked seventh with approximately $5,346 million.

Here’s the top 10 list from Newzoo’s report, including each company’s total revenue and year-over-year increase.

  1. Tencent $18,120 million in gaming revenue (51 percent year-over-year)
  2. Sony $10,548 million in estimated gaming revenue (35 percent year-over-year increase)
  3. Apple $8,037 million in estimated gaming revenue (20 percent year-over-year increase)
  4. Microsoft $7,063 million in estimated gaming revenue (9 percent year-over-year increase)
  5. Activision Blizzard $6,513 million in gaming revenue (4 percent year-over-year increase)
  6. NetEase $5,576 million in gaming revenue (33 percent year-over-year increase)
  7. Google $5,346 million in estimated gaming revenue (35 percent year-over-year increase)
  8. EA $5,095 in gaming revenue (10 percent year-over-year increase)
  9. Nintendo $3,625 million in estimated gaming revenue (98 percent year-over-year increase)
  10. Bandai Namco $2,428 million in gaming revenue (22 percent year-over-year increase)

All 25 companies made up 77 percent of the global gaming market in 2017, with $94.1 billion in gaming revenue earned during 2017, GamesIndustry.biz reports. The top 25 list follows shortly after Newzoo published its Global Games Market Report for 2018, which predicts that gamers will spend $137.9 billion worldwide on games in 2018 alone.

Newzoo also forecasts that mobile gaming will take up $70.3 billion within gaming revenue, meaning this year may be even more profitable than last year when it comes to mobile gaming giants like Google and Apple. If so, expect millions more in revenue next year for Tencent, Apple, Google, and other major mobile players.
