Are you ready for another mystery journey with the Layton crew? Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy is making the jump from Nintendo 3DS to the Switch, so if you missed it the first time around, you can catch it on everyone’s favorite Nintendo handheld device.

The game was originally released in July 2017 in Japan when it came to smartphones and the 3DS, but now it’ll have another lease on life with Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy DX. The new version of the game may potentially feature some sort of NFC compatibility with the upcoming “Nazotoki Charm” toy from Takara Tomy, but there isn’t a lot of other information just yet beyond that so far.

Instead of following Professor Hershel Layton, this entry features his daughter Katrielle “Kat” Layton, who does an admirable job in place of her father. Along with her talking dog Sherl and companions Emiliana and Ernest, she embarks on a mission to rescue Professor Layton, who’s gone missing. The game plays out in a very similar fashion to the regular series, with 12 different cases to complete. Katrielle is an interesting new character with plenty to offer, so if you’re curious about what she brings to the table, the game is definitely worth playing.

The Switch iteration is planned for an Aug. 9 release in Japan, but there aren’t any official plans for an English release just yet. Hopefully it’ll make its way over eventually, since Switch owners can always use a few more puzzling titles to help build up their collections.
