Arena of Valor’s Switch release was announced in September during a Nintendo Direct livestream. Five-on-five, three-on-three, and one-on-one gameplay is expected with the full release of the Tencent game on Switch. The closed beta will only feature the five-on-five competitive mode, however. Beta keys will be delivered to players “later this month,” according to Tencent. Beta keys will unlock “unlimited play” during the closed beta period.
The mobile MOBA title is massively popular in China, and it’s been gaining traction worldwide since its global release in December. More than 200 million players are registered in the game’s system, with daily active users up to 80 million.
There’s been no word from Tencent as to how many players will gain access to the two-week closed beta. Arena of Valor is one of the most popular games in the world, and lots of fans are eager to try it out on the Nintendo Switch.
