We’re now less than a week away from the start of press conferences for E3 2018, but Sony says it has more announcements than its show next Monday can handle.
Sony says it has some “tasty appetizers” this week to prepare for the “main course” Monday night. That starts on Wednesday, with an announcement every day after that leading up to the big show.
Starting on Wednesday, June 6 at 10am CT, PlayStation has something new to share. The news will be live on multiple platforms, including the PlayStation Live website, Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook.
Wednesday’s announcement is for a new PS4 game with PS VR support, followed by a confirmed release date for an upcoming Worldwide Studios title on June 7. June 8 will feature the announcement of a brand new PS4 game. June 9’s showing will announce a new PS VR game, and June 10 will reveal details of an “eagerly anticipated game” coming to PS VR.
The teasers for each of these are delightfully vague, so it’s anyone’s guess what these announcements will become. But they are all support acts for the main event on Monday, June 11, at 8pm CT.
PlayStation’s E3 2018 Showcase promises more details and information on exclusives like The Last of Us: Part II, Spider-Man, Death Stranding, and Ghost of Tsushima. Beyond that, you can bet there will be many third-party games on display as Sony continues its partnerships with companies like Activision for Call of Duty and Destiny 2, plus the hotly-anticipated Red Dead Redemption II.
