Games Done Quick (GDQ) is heading to TwitchCon 2018 for a brand new speedrunning marathon series known as Games Done Quick Express (GDQx), which will support charities participating in TwitchCon’s Charity Plaza.
The marathon will take place from Oct. 26 to 28 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California. This will be GDQ’s third major event held in the same year as the popular AGDQ and SGDQ marathons. It’s also the first time that GDQ has attempted to create a third event in the organization’s history.
GDQx will follow the traditional GDQ format by constantly playing games over several days at TwitchCon. The marathon will be free to spectate for TwitchCon attendees and streamed on the Games Done Quick Twitch channel.
GDQ has raised nearly $15 million since 2011 when the first marathon was held, with the last two ADGQ events raising over $2 million each. SGDQ 2018, the next event in the GDQ lineup, hopes to be the first SGDQ marathon in the organization’s history to make more than $2 million in total donations.

The event will be livestreamed on the GDQ’s Twitch and kick off with Banjo Tooie at 10am CT on June 24 and end at 4:45am CT with Final Fantasy VI.
