The fan-favorite Nier: Automata, previously only released on PlayStation 4 and Steam, is now making the leap to Xbox One.

Square Enix broke the news a little early via its official website, with a special game listing that has since been removed. Before the listing was taken down, the announcement came paired with information about preordering the title, which will retail for $49.99, and the DLC it will include. You’ll get the following in addition to the base game:

  • The 3C3C1D119440927 expansion DLC ($13.99 value)
  • Grimoire Weiss Pod
  • Retro Red Pod Skin
  • Retro Grey Pod Skin
  • Cardboard Pod Skin
  • The Machine Lifeform Mask Accessory

The game isn’t getting a physical release, but will instead be available on the Xbox Store for Xbox One. It’s likely we’ll hear more about it during today’s Xbox E3 2018 briefing, especially since the announcement was pulled down.

Nier Automata is an action role-playing game developed by PlatinumGames and published by Square Enix. It’s a sequel to 2010’s Nier, which was originally a spin-off itself of Drakengard. Players take on the role of a combat android named 2B and a prototype who happens to be a fugitive. It’s shipped over three million copies, and has amassed something of a cult following since its debut, with its unique narrative themes, gameplay mechanics, and memorable characters.

If you’re curious about trying the game out before making a decision to purchase it on Xbox One, you can grab it on Steam or PlayStation 4 ahead of its official Xbox debut now.
