Bethesda has revealed that Fallout Shelter will be available on both PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, starting today.

These new ports will work the same as the game you’re already likely familiar with. You can create and build your own custom Fallout vault, invite your own Vault Dwellers within, and control their lives in a Sims-like game from there. It’s your job to make sure your inhabitants remain happy, safe, and alive while they mingle within the confines of the Vault and wander out into the radioactive wasteland to scavenge. Meanwhile, they’ll fall in love, have children, argue, and do all of the other things you’d expect folks trapped in a Vault to do.

You can play the Switch version of the port with both the Joy-Con controllers or the touchscreen, just like the mobile games, however you prefer.

You don’t have to wait to try out the game on either PlayStation 4 or Nintendo Switch, so before you nod off to sleep tonight with visions of E3 conferences dancing in your head, you can set the game to download on the console of your choice.

The iOS and Android versions are still available for you to download if you prefer to play on mobile devices, but now you can expand your horizons with additional devices.

With the game coming to both systems, Bethesda is expanding its player base for the title in the best way, so it wouldn’t be surprising if we saw a new expansion or something of that nature coming in the near future.
