Cartoon Network and Mojang have teamed up once more, this time for an Adventure Time and Minecraft mashup partnership for TV. A new 11-minute episode of the popular Cartoon Network animated serires has been created in conjunction with the Minecraft developer, and it’s airing next month.

The new episode is called “Diamonds and Lemons,” and it follows hero Finn and his group of friends such as Jake the dog and Marceline the vampire queen as they experience a new version of the land of Ooo, the kingdom they live in. It looks a lot like the blocky world of Minecraft, as do the characters themselves. It’s set to air on Friday, July 20 at 7:00pm ET, and will be available for streaming via the Cartoon Network app shortly afterward.

Fans got an early look at the episode back in November during MINECON Earth, when Finn’s voice actor Jeremy Shada and Marceline’s actress Olivia Olson took to the stage to present a first look at the mashup. If you’ve ever watched the show, you know its trademark, edgy humor and silliness are a great match for the world of Minecraft, so the entire episode beyond the clip you see above should fit in well with the rest of the season’s selection of vignettes.

This isn’t the first time Adventure Time and Mojang have worked together, however. Last year, the teams launched the Adventure Time Mash-Up Pack on Minecraft for all platforms, featuring skins, characters, music, and more from the zany animated series.

It’s likely this won’t be the last time the two properties cross over, so keep an eye out for more in the future.
